Where can I find an Los Angeles Attorney to help bring a business offshore?
We have been contemplating moving our Internet-based business offshore, perhaps, Costa Rica or wherever is a good place to go. While there are so many “Business Attorneys”, I have been searching high and low for one that I see specializes in Offshore Company Formation. All I find are links to attorneys in Panama, or wherever — or this one site with the How-Tos and stuff to purchase. All I want is an attorney HERE in Los Angeles to help us with that process. Any Angelenos or Southern Californians able to point me in the right direction?
I doubt you will find an American attorney for this job. The trouble is that ‘going offshore’ and tax evasion are in the eyes of many two sides of the same coin.
And, if I understand US law correctly your attorney could be assisting you in possible tax evasion.
