Insurance Lawyer

August 30th, 2011

I got in an accident 2 years ago with minor injuries so i got no lawyer.?

My vehicle was totalled and the other party’s insurance paid for it immediately.I spent 2500 of my money and my work medical plan paid 3850. After fully recovering, i sent a demand letter to the claims adjuster who replied declining to pay until all medical reports were in. I sent her all the reports and never heard from her again. I callled and left messages to her with no reply. I went ahead and filed a suit. After the oral deposition I talked to the insurance lawyer and we both tried to get in touch with the adjuster so she could settle but heard no reply from her.
The trial date is set for june,
The DOCKET CONTROL ORDER says if no date is given, the item is governed by the texas Rules of civil Procedure.
My question is, if the date for EXPERT WITNESS DISIGNATION is 1/29/08 and 3/3/08 for ALL OTHER EXPERTS , what is the date and time for STATUS CONFERENCE in accordance to Texas Rules of Civil Procedure?

I suggest you seek legal advice from a Texas attorney. This is a link to a list of online legal resources for Texas, including lawyer referral services, legal clinics and other legal services:

A consultation for a case like this may be free from any number of attorneys because it involves a personal injury matter. I strongly suggest that you seek free consultations so you can better understand the process.

As a general matter, a status conference is set by the court when it has time, and while there may be a law that states it should be scheduled within a certain amount of time after expert witness lists are filed with the court, getting scheduled and actually getting into court can be two very different things. However, this is only general information and I can’t give you specific advice about the laws of Texas.
