Fall Injury

What are the best stability support shoes for a big footed older person standing/walking all day on concrete?

No longer have much arch. The bottoms of my feet stay numb yet in severe pain. Had fall injury where I sat on the bottom of my foot – months ago but still a problem. Any suggestions as to best light weight support, stability shoes for me? Walking is painful, Price is an important factor. Should I get two pair and switch them out? Podiatrist was no help with this problem. What is best med to dull pain without grogginess?

I work in health care and I’m on my feet for 12 hours a day and there are no shoes like my New Balance shoes. They are relatively cheap (I bought my last pair for $45 USD). If you feel the need you can add an insert as well (I think they run around $15 USD each). as for switching shoes, if you feel or find that it helps then I say go for it, but otherwise I think that is more fore people with odor or other problems with wetness. As for your pain killer I would suggest an NSAID (like ibuprofen or naproxen) or if you want something stronger try asking your MD about ultram.
