Attorney malpractice?
Would it be reasonable to believe that when settling a lawsuit by paying the plaintiff in full, my lawyer would get some type of release or receipt showing that I have satisfied the debt?
You always get a statement saying no further action will be taken as agreement showing settlement is reached, that’s kind of law school 101…
